Las Vegas-headquartered leader in the gaming and lottery industries, Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS), has been awarded a new, five-year contract that will see it serve as primary instant game provider for the Connecticut Lottery Corporation.
Under the terms of the primary instant games provider agreement, the corporation will additionally provide analytics, research and marketing services to aid in the responsible growth of the Lottery‘s instant game sales across its network of 2,800 retailers.
Strategic partnership:
The recent agreement enhances the Nevada-based company‘s instant game partnership with the southern New England state’s Lottery, as it boosts the percentage of its games within the Lottery’s portfolio, making it the primary provider. The move is part of the strategic plan by the Lottery to “maximize profits and contributions” to Connecticut’s General Fund.
For more than four decades Scientific Games has supplied instant games to the U.S’ fourth state lottery that was created in 1971 and now serves as its retail and systems technology provider. A fruitful partnership, in fiscal year 2019, the Lottery was positioned in the Top 10 globally for total per capita sales.

Benefit to state:
Funding for many worthwhile programs and causes in the Constitution State have over the years benefited from $10 billion in funding courtesy of the Connecticut Lottery.

Iowa Lottery score:
The U.S.-based company that in 1974 launched the very first secure retail instant game in the world also recently announced that it had won the Iowa Lottery’s 10-year contract for a new statewide gaming system to serve the lottery and the 2,400 retail locations where Iowa Lottery games are sold.
A unanimous vote by the state’s Lottery Authority Board secured the contract and saw the immediate start of negotiations. The Lottery may extend the new 10-year contract up to five additional years.
