Relax Gaming has enhanced its long-standing relationship with Big Time Gaming (BTG) after becoming the first partner to sign an intellectual property (IP) agreement covering Megaclusters, the Australian company’s latest game engine mechanic.
Courtesy of the deal, the supplier’s Silver Bullet partners and in-house studios will be the first to be able to apply the ground breaking game engine to proprietary titles, with 12 months exclusivity. Megaclusters, which arrived on the scene earlier this year via the hit title Star Clusters, provides an “additional twist” to the cluster pay concept.
The new game mechanic works by splitting each symbol that forms into four smaller symbols, thus creating even more Megaclusters. Combinations appearing within the smaller symbols, explode, with new ones dropping down to take their place until all the combos end.

The agreement further strengthens the partnership between Relax and BTG, having gone from “strength to strength” since the two industry leaders originally teamed up back in 2018.

In addition to holding IP rights to BTG’s other wildly popular game mechanic, Megaways, Relax was also one of the first three platform providers to distribute the New South Wales-headquartered firm’s content in Europe, while also launching games such as the Final Countdown with a longer period of exclusivity.
