Red Rock Resorts is set to diversify its portfolio by venturing into the tavern gaming sector, marking a significant expansion within the competitive Las Vegas market. This strategic move comes as Nevada gaming regulators greenlight the company’s entry into the tavern business under the newly introduced brand, Seventy Six by Station Casinos.
During a recent earnings call, Red Rock Resorts unveiled plans to launch its inaugural Seventy Six location at the corner of Centennial and Lamb at 6345 N Lamb Blvd in North Las Vegas by late September. This development is part of a broader strategy to establish a presence in the local gaming scene, traditionally dominated by names like Golden Entertainment.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board has recommended approval for Red Rock Resorts’ licensing, allowing the company to operate small gaming properties, according to CDC Gaming Reports. These taverns, defined by their cozy setting and limited number of gaming machines—no more than 15—are poised to become a new fixture in the local community.
A Natural Extension
Scott Kreeger, President of Station Casinos, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture, stating: “We’re always looking for opportunities to bring our products closer to our customers, and the tavern business is a natural extension of what we already do.” He noted that the company plans to grow across various operational scales, from large casinos to these more intimate tavern spaces.
The decision to name the brand Seventy Six carries historical significance, referencing both the year Station Casinos was founded and the bicentennial of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. This name reflects a nod to the company’s origins and its deep roots in American culture.
Station Casinos plans to open several more Seventy Six locations, with two additional sites scheduled to launch in January—one near Kyle Canyon on the U.S. 95 highway and another on Aliante Parkway, directly challenging rival Boyd Gaming’s Aliante hotel-casino. The company anticipates completing all seven planned locations by the end of 2025 or early 2026, contingent upon market conditions and the identification of suitable sites.
Each Seventy Six tavern will offer a unique blend of gaming and dining experiences, catering to a younger demographic that includes sports enthusiasts. The venues will feature 15 new IGT Peak bartop machines, offering over 55 games, including poker, blackjack, slots, and keno.

The ambiance of Seventy Six is designed to be the ultimate neighborhood and sports-viewing hangout, equipped with 24 high-definition TVs and an app-enabled jukebox, enhancing the social and interactive aspects of the tavern experience.
