In the American state of Nevada and the President of land-based casino operator Red Rock Resorts Incorporated has reportedly announced that his firm’s Station Casinos brand is planning to premiere up to six more venues before the end of 2030.
According to a Saturday report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper, the revelation from Scott Kreeger (pictured) comes only a few weeks after the firm permanently shuttered its locals-focused Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station, Fiesta Henderson and Wild Wild West Gambling Hall enterprises for the loss of hundreds of full-time jobs. The Las Vegas-headquartered company subsequently purportedly detailed that it would be demolishing this quartet while selling off the land beneath the three former properties at the same time as holding on to the latter’s almost 100-acre site.

As all of this is ongoing, Red Rock Resorts Incorporated is reportedly proceeding with work to bring its $750 million Station Casino Durango property to a 71-acre plot of land in the Las Vegas suburb of Spring Valley while simultaneously looking to realize a proposed 600-room venue complete with a 75,700 sq ft casino for a 67-acre North Las Vegas parcel. Both of these Clark County properties could purportedly be open by the end of 2025 following the operator’s premiere of a Wildfire-branded tavern project with 21,000 sq ft of floor space and a sportsbook for the center of Nevada’s largest city.

Kreeger reportedly told the newspaper that his company remains ‘bullish’ on the Las Vegas casino market and has placed the locality at ‘the core of its business model’ owing to the fact that ‘the growth over the last few years has been tremendous’. The experienced executive moreover purportedly proclaimed that the firm intends to implement a roadmap over the course of the next eight years to better serve ‘the demographics and profile of the people moving into the city’ as it feels these may currently be underserved.

In keeping with this strategy and Red Rock Resorts Incorporated reportedly divulged that it is furthermore completing the entitlement process for a trio of parcels encompassing a 126-acre plot situated in the southern Las Vegas suburb of Enterprise in addition to nearby parcels of 47 and 45 acres located within the master-planned Inspirada and Skye Canyon communities respectively. Kreeger purportedly divulged that work to bring casinos to these three lots could well commence as soon as his company’s 211-room Station Casino Durango venue opens in the summer of 2024.

“If I read the tea leaves into the next twelve to 16 months, we’re very excited about our Inspirada project and we also like the Skye Canyon location as there’s a tremendous amount of growth going on in that area and not a lot of supply. Once we’ve gotten Station Casino Durango cleaned out, we’ll be able to sit down and look at the current economic conditions, look at the demographics and make a decision on those projects. Whether that’s Inspirada first and Skye Canyon second, or whether we decide to do that simultaneously, there’s quite a few factors but the good news is we’re positioning ourselves to have optionality and flexibility and be ready to do that as soon as Station Casino Durango comes online.”
