The PokerStars 2021 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) has just a few days remaining before the festival finishes up. Online poker players have been able to take advantage of several events, with tournaments starting on August 22 through September 15. Amateurs and poker pros alike have taken part, with a few of the PokerStars Ambassadors able to take down event wins.
Team PokerStars has been on a roll, with Benjamin Spragg claiming a win along with Parker Talbot, and Sami Kelpouro. This week the ambassadors have been at the felt and able to earn wins in several events by taking out tough competitors.
WCOOP Event 75 Details
This event was a high option, offering NLHE gaming with a $5,200 buy-in. The event had an 8-max, Midweek Freeze format and offered $400,000 in guaranteed prize money. A total of 91 players took part and only 11 would earn a payout from the $455,000 prize pool. Parker Talbot played well in this event and was able to outlast his final table competitors to take down the win, earning $108,729 after defeating Ramiro Petrone in heads-up play.
WCOOP Event 83 Results
One event that just finished up is Event 83, the High $1,050 NLHE 7-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO, Freezeout. This tournament had 343 competitors and created a large prize pool of $343,000. Top players were in the mix including Benjamin Spragg, Rafael Moraes, Ramon Colillas, Parker Talbot, and more.
Spragg was able to hold off his competitors, make it to the final table and then earn first-place in the event. He defeated Wildace_hun in heads-up play to earn just over $30,000 in prize money and over $37,000 in bounties. This was his second PokerStars WCOOP win.
Main Event and More Coming Up
Even though the WCOOP is about to conclude, there is still plenty of action remaining. The Main Event will start this weekend with three options, the Low, Medium, and High versions. The low option has a buy-in of $55 and offers an NLHE 8-Max event with a guaranteed $1.5 million in prize money.
The medium version has a higher $530 buy-in and features an 8-Max NLHE format with $2.5 million in prize money. Upgrade to the high version and pay $5,200 to play in the same online poker format with $10 million in guaranteed prize money.
Players can also take part in PLO action starting this weekend with 6-Max Main Events. These events have buy-ins of $1,050 and $10,300. Players are competing for $750,000 and $1 million in prize money respectively. Players can take part in any of the remaining events by visiting the PokerStars website.
