Las Vegas’s gaming history is the theme of two new contests to be hosted by the Plaza Hotel & Casino this October. The venue is planning on giving away one dozen classic coin machines, including video poker games, keno and slots. Some of these vintage machines are over 25-years old.
The Contests:
The Plaza has specifically taken the older machines out of commission to use for the October contests. Players will be competing to win such games as Catch the Heat, Deuces Wild and Joker Poker.
To win, players can take part in a video poker tournament and points challenge. The video poker tournament will run on every Tuesday during the month of October. The winner from each weekly tournament will earn a classic video poker machine that is coin-operated as the grand prize.
The points challenge will take place from the 1st to the 29th of October. During this challenge, players will earn points for playing reel slots games, video keno and video poker. By the end of the competition, the top eight players with the most points will earn a machine.

CEO of the Plaza, Jonathan Jossel, commented on the contests by stating: “These machines are a part of Vegas history, and we wanted to give our locals a chance to have their own piece of our city’s great legacy.”
Additional Details:
Players must be a resident of Nevada to be eligible to win one of the gaming machines. All winner’s must produce a valid state drivers license and be 21 years of age or older. Participants must also be members of the casino’s Royal Rewards players club.
Once the contests at the Plaza Casino are over, the winners will have seven days to pick up the machine. They will also be responsible for any maintenance in the future.
