This weekend was a busy one for poker. As always, top online poker platforms offered up exciting action, including cash games and scheduled tournaments. GGPoker was particularly busy, offering several events this past Sunday. On that day, it seems that one player was feeling exceptionally competitive and managed to win not one, but three events. Eelis Parsinnen of Finland was able to secure three victories in one day by competing in several GGPoker events.
High Roller Action
Parssinen was not playing around on Sunday, as his wins took place during high roller action. He competed in the $1,050 High Rollers Main Event of the WSOPC, which offers a $666,000 prize pool with 666 players competing.
Once there were three players remaining in the online poker event, a deal was struck. Graf Tekkel ended up with the largest prize of just over $84,000 while finishing in third place once gameplay resumed. Online player kimokh finished in second but took home more prize money than first with $79,999. Parssinen earned the win and scored $79,118 as his prize.
Parissen also competed in the Blade Bounty King tournament, which had a buy-in of $3,150. The pro was able to outlast the playing field of 85 competitors to earn the first-place prize of $75,046. A whopping $53,000+ of his money came from bounties.
The final win came from the High Rollers Blade Opener which had a buy-in of $5,250. This event had only 40 players register. Only five players would cash out and it was the final two who decided to cut a deal.
Parssinen faced off against Marius Gierse and the two came to an agreement. In the end, Gierse finished in second, taking home just over $55,000. Parssinen earned another five-figure payout, this time $59,484.
Super MILLION$ Win
Just a few days before Parssinen’s wins, GGPoker hosted a Super MILLION$ event. The tournament had a buy-in of $10,300 with Darren Elias earning the first-place finish. Elias faced off against Niklas Astedt and Ami Barer in three-handed play. Each of these players are professionals at the game, so the action was tough.
Barer would eventually be knocked out in third place by Elias. Astedt would then take on Elias in heads up play, holding a huge chip lead with more than 14 million to 8 million. While Astedt held the lead in this event, the lead would go back and forth, and eventually, Elias would take over. In the end, he would earn a win with A-7, taking on Astedt’s Q-Qs to earn the first place win.
