American sportsbook operator Circa Sports has reportedly inked a deal to bring sportsbetting to the Legends Bay Casino facility being built by Olympia Gaming in the western Nevada city of Sparks.
According to a Sunday report from the Associated Press news service, the new property is set to open next door to The Outlets at Legends shopping mall later this summer complete with an 80,000 sq ft casino featuring a selection of slots, gaming tables and video poker machines. The source detailed that all of this is to be complemented by multiple restaurants as well as a sportsbook under the operation of Circa Sports.

Circa Sports is reportedly already responsible for retail sportsbooks at five Nevada casinos encompassing The D Hotel and Casino, Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, Circa Resort and Casino, Tuscany Suites and Casino and The Pass Casino while offering a mobile-friendly sportsbetting app to aficionados in Iowa and Colorado. The Las Vegas-headquartered firm purportedly announced last week that it will also be running the sports wagering service being hosted within the $500 million American Place project Full House Resorts Incorporated is building in the northern Illinois city of Waukegan.

Derek Stevens (pictured) serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Circa Sports and he reportedly told the Associated Press that the coming Legends Bay Casino is to be ‘the first ground-up casino in the Reno-Sparks area to be built in 30-plus years’ and that his firm’s fresh partnership with Olympia Gaming represents the ‘icing on the cake’.

Olympia Gaming, which is an entity of local property developer Garry Goett’s The Olympia Companies concern, reportedly first detailed plans to bring a casino to the Sparks retail facility in 2007 but later indefinitely delayed the project due to its inability to secure enough outside funding. However, the Las Vegas-headquartered firm purportedly resurrected this Washoe County scheme last year in order to bring gaming to a complex that already hosts a 45-unit shopping mall in addition to a pair of 100-room hotels.
