The Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa of Singapore have announced they will remain closed until June 1st due to Covid-19. The extended closure is in effect to help slow the spread of the virus. The original end date was May 4th.

The prime minister of Singapore announced yesterday that circuit-breaker measures would be extended. Non-essential businesses, which include the casinos, will remain closed for an additional month in order to ensure social distancing can continue.
The decision comes at a time when the government task force of the country met to discuss the crisis. In just a two-day time frame before the decision was made, Singapore saw over 2,500 new infection cases. As of Tuesday, the reported infected totals came in at 9,125.

The Marina Bay Sands reported on their website that operations would remain suspended through June 1st. The property’s hotel, casino, food and beverage options along with The Shoppes will be closed. The ArtScience Museum and other attractions are also shutdown.
Anyone with a reservation at the hotel from April 7th to June 1st will be refunded. Anyone with tickets to attractions will be contacted about refunds.
Resorts World Sentosa posted something similar on their website, commenting that all guest offerings would be shut down. This includes the Universal Studios Singapore facility, Adventure Cove Waterpark and Dolphin Island, along with other attractions.
The resort will continue to offer select food and beverage options for takeout only. They still have guests on-site staying at the property.
