Bragg Gaming Group subsidiary Oryx Gaming granted UK supplier license; expects to go live with iGaming operator partners before year’s end

Global B2B gaming technology platform provider Bragg Gaming Group (NASDAQ: BRAG) has announced that via its Oryx Gaming business it is now licensed to supply its player account management (PAM), remote games server (RGS) and exclusive content in the British iGaming market. And expects to roll out with its first UK customers prior to the year’s end.

According to the company’s news release, award of the supplier license by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) is a “significant milestone,” and one that will see Bragg enter what is a US$5.5 billion iGaming market, extending its global reach to the world’s most mature and largest online gambling market.

Courtesy of the UK license, Bragg’s Oryx Gaming will be able to provide its content to a broad range of local operator partners, including some of the industry’s biggest and most established brands.

To start, a selection of Oryx’s top-performing slots have been certified for the British market, with games including those developed by the Slovenian iGaming solution provider’s in-house studio, as well as exclusive titles from German game developer Gamomat. These titles are reportedly due to begin going live with operator partners prior to the end of 2021.

According to Manchester-based betting and gaming consultancy H2 Gambling Capital, this year’s total addressable market (TAM) for the UK’s online casino sector is approximately US$ 5.5bn (£4.1bn), which makes it the world’s largest regulated iGaming market.

Obtaining the license is an “important step” in Bragg’s strategy for growth as the company continues to grow its regulated jurisdiction market share and make its way into new markets including those that are large and well-established such as the United Kingdom.

The company expects that courtesy of its global market expansion initiatives, its TAM will see a six-fold increase in 2022 to exceed US$18bn, with just shy of one-third of that attributed to the UK market.

November has been a busy month for Bragg, which has seen it appoint former Chair of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) Paul Godfry as interim Chief Executive Officer, in addition to launching Oryx platform in the Czech Republic with Gauselmann Group umbrella brand Merkur, and deals with Las Vegas-based content provider Bluberi and its successful Dutch market launch via local operator BetEnt for its new BetCity.nl brand. BetEnt is the online arm of established Dutch land-based operator Casino City.

In October, Oryx Gaming took its content live in the Netherlands with state-owned casino group Holland Casino for its new online interest, hollandcasino.nl.
