In 2016, Ian “ApokerJoker2” Steinman was named the WSOP.com Online Player of the Year. Ian has enjoyed an interesting poker career, enjoying success in online and live play. However, this past weekend, Ian competed in Event #27 of the 2020 World Series of Poker and won the tournament, securing his first gold bracelet and a first-place prize of $110,556.72.

Event #27 saw 1,940 players competing, with several top players in the mix, including the Event #26 winner Ethan “RampageP” Yau. During the online poker series thus far, Ian has reached three final tables. In this event, he began the final table as the chip leader.
Once the nine-player final table came down to the last two, it was Ian taking on Satoshi “Godzillla” Tanaka. Ian held a chip lead of almost four to one and would not take too much time before he claimed the title win.
Tanaka was not going to give up easily, but he would eventually leave in second place after his K-J did not hold up against Ian’s A-5 on the final hand.
